Cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences, Ansbach

The website was redesigned and adapted in the year 2013 in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Ansbach, study course multimedia and communication, focus media information technology.

Bachelor Thesis "Senior-focused Web"

Lena Mathussek from Georgensgmünd worked in her bachelor thesis on the subject "Senior-focused Web" - evaluation and revision of the Website "Jewish life in Gunzenhausen" considering the requirements of elderly persons.

Her thesis is our basic principle of the revision of our website to the point of a senior-focused web.

Up to now we have only incorporated a few of her proposals. For other proposals technical adjustments are necessary. We work on these technical adjustments. In any case the operators of this website go after the improvement of this website. Many thanks to Lena Mathussek for her capable support.

Kulturpreis Bayern - One of the Awardees in the anniversary year 2014 is Lena Mathussek

Bayernwerk awards for the tenth time now the "Kulturpreis Bayern". One of the awardees is Lena Mathussek from Georgensgmünd, student at the University of Applied Science in Ansbach. The Bayernwerk AG dignifies for the tenth time academic and artistic accomplishments at the Bavarian Universities, Universities of Applied Science and Universities of Art.

In the Anniversary year 2014 the Kulturpreis Bayern goes to Lena Mathussek from Georgensgmünd

Lena Mathussek is - together with 16 other graduates - one of the awardees in the category "Universities of Applied Science". In her bachelor thesis on the subject "Senior-focused Web" - evaluation and revision of the Website "Jewish life in Gunzenhausen" considering the requirements of elderly persons she compared the requirements of elderly persons and younger users.

The population in Germany is growing older. So the average Internet user is growing older too. This the assupmtion of her thesis. In the respect of a total inclusion of elderly people in the society, the utilization of the Internet must be included. First of all she worked theoretically on the requirements of eldery people. Then she checked her results in a study in asking elderly people to evaluate a website if it is appropriate for them.

These results she compared with the results of younger users and identified eventual problems in the use of the website. Her thesis is our basic principle of the revision of our website to the point of a senior-focused web. Her Bachelor thesis gets a prize money in the amount of 2.000 Euro. Bayernwerk AG awards the prize in a close cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry for education and culture, science and art.

Bayernwerk honors together with honorable representatives of art the best graduates of the Bavarian Universities, Universities of Applied Science and universities of art with the "Kulturpreis Bayern". The awardees are nominated by the principal or the president of the concerning university. So the network operator Bayernwerk wants to set an impulse for the preservation of a cultural variety and is at the same time a forum for art and science in the region.

In addition to the university awardees five artists were awarded with the Kulturpreis Bayern. Amongst others the "Regensburger Domspatzen" were awarded. Franz Xaver Bogner, producer, got the exceptional prize of the Bavarian State Ministry for education and culture, science and art.

The ceremony took place at the "Veranstaltungsforum" in Fürstenfeldbruck.
